Can Registered Apprenticeship Work for Me?

If you have a high turnover in a particular position; have incumbent workers who need higher skill levels or certifications to maintain employment; or have trouble filling certain positions, registered apprenticeship could be a valuable recruitment and training tool.

As an apprenticeship employer, you will:

  • Provide a safe workplace.
  • Provide on-the- job training and supervised work experience.
  • Establish a progressive pay schedule.
  • Document the training progress.
  • Support the related instruction.
  • Reap the benefits of a loyal and trained workforce.

Funding Support for New Health Care Apprenticeship programs

As an employer, you may be eligible for some support to offset the time that a qualified mentor is training an apprentice. Please contact your local Job Center for more information and to apply.
