How to apply
1. Application: Click here to print out an application (MS Word).
Fill it out. We recommend handing in the application in person so that we can go over it with you. You can also mail the application to AHFC, PO Box 021265, Juneau AK 99802.

2. Important: With your application give us documents to show how critical your need for housing is as this may affect your placement on the waitlist.

3. We Call You: Within ten days we'll let you know if you are eligible. (If you have not heard from us within this time, please call us.).

4. *Waitlist: If you are eligible you will be placed on our waitlist. We will also tell you your position on the waitlist. Getting to the Top: When you are approaching the top of the waitlist you will be called to make an appointment.

The Waitlist
The waitlist is based on your critical need for housing and the date and time you submit your application. Due to the varying needs of our clients the wait could range from a few days for people with critical needs to a couple of years for people with less critical needs.

If you are in critical need and are unsure how to document this please call us so we can assist you.
